About Trouvaille

We’re a UK small business creating eco-friendly gifts for travel and nature lovers. Founded in 2017 by globetrotting couple Candelaria and Greg, Trouvaille designs sustainable gifts inspired by adventure, nature and the memories we collect along the way.

All of our products are designed in the UK and responsibly manufactured in Europe and the UK. From our bestselling colour-in mugs and colour-in tote bags to scented candles and recycled paper stationery, every product is created with quality and sustainability in mind and made to be enjoyed for years to come.

We put a lot of thought into every detail, including the packaging, always keeping the planet at the heart of what we do. Through our products, we hope to inspire people to discover how wonderful the world we live in is and encourage more of us to protect it.

Today, our range of eco-friendly gifts includes 35 products across four collections, with new products continually being added.

Meet the founders

Trouvaille was founded by Candelaria and Greg, a couple who left London’s 9-to-5 life to pursue a different dream: creating high-quality gifts that are sustainably and ethically produced while building a business inspired by travel, nature and freedom.

"In 2017, after six years living in London, we decided to leave the big-city lifestyle behind and make our dream a reality. But we didn’t simply want to take time off and turn our travels into a long holiday. We wanted to invest our energy into building a business with purpose.

Our passion for travel has always shaped who we are. We believe travel makes us richer in experiences, more open-minded and more aware of both the beauty of our world and our impact on it. We knew those values had to be at the core of everything we created."

The story behind our first colour-in mugs

The idea behind our first product came from a problem many travel lovers might recognise.

Over the years, our London flat slowly filled with souvenir mugs collected from our travels. Every trip added another memory, and eventually we ran out of space.

After months of brainstorming travel-inspired product ideas, it was during a flight home from a weekend trip that Greg asked:

"What if we could enjoy our tea in one mug that reminded us of all our adventures?"

That simple question sparked the idea behind our colour-in mugs.

We wanted to create something that celebrated travel memories in a more personal and meaningful way — a product people could keep enjoying every day while remembering the places they had explored and dreaming about future adventures.

Many of the photographs across our website and social media are taken during our travels and feature our products in places that have inspired us along the way, including Petra in Jordan.

Our sustainability values

Designed in the UK, responsibly made in Europe and the UK

All of our products are designed in the UK and sustainably manufactured in Europe or the UK.

We work with dedicated people and small businesses who care deeply about quality, sustainability and fair working conditions. We founded Trouvaille because we wanted to create a sensible alternative to the mass-produced, low-quality products that often end up in landfill.

Plastic-free packaging

As part of our sustainability commitment, every Trouvaille product comes in plastic-free, recyclable packaging.

We believe thoughtful products deserve thoughtful packaging too.

Quality over disposable gifting

We create gifts designed to be treasured rather than thrown away.

Our goal has always been to create unique, meaningful products with minimal environmental impact: gifts that celebrate travel, nature and experiences while lasting for years to come.

Giving back

Giving back has been part of Trouvaille from the beginning.

Our colour-in tote collection contributes to tackling poverty and the effects of climate change through support for tree-growing and land restoration initiatives through Tree Aid.

Since 2021, sales from our candle collection, notebooks and greeting cards have supported land conservation projects through the World Land Trust and have helped protect more than 15 hectares of threatened land.

We believe businesses should help protect the places and wildlife that inspire them.
